Playlists

There are a number of ways to populate the Wimpy MP3 Player playlist:

Automatically
Wimpy was designed to operate using "automatic" playlists. This method uses the "Wimpy Script" (wimpy.php, wimpy.asp, or wimpy.cfm) to automatically list the MP3 files and sub-folders within your Wimpy Installation folder.

Use an Embedded Playlist
Define the files that appear within Wimpy by "embedding" the list of files directly into the HTML code that is used to display the player.

Use an XML Playlist
An XML playlist is used in lieu of wimpy.php/asp/cfm to populate the list of tracks within Wimpy. No special server-side functionality needed.

Use a Podcast Feed
Play a podcast feed in Wimpy.

Use JavaScript
The Wimpy JavaScript Kit allows you to populate and control Wimpy through Javascript.

SQL
Use Wimpy SQL to organize your collection, create and publish playlists and edit track data. Wimpy SQL requires PHP and MySQL.
